What a Difference a Year Makes...

Time has passed in the blink of an eye, and yet I have a hard time remembering life before motherhood. It seems like an eternity ago.

The sense of responsibility that comes with being a parent makes for many sacrifices. My priorities have definitely changed. The time I spend with my son is precious. I have matured more in the past 18 months than I have in my entire life.

I am so incredibly blessed. I can say I now know what pure, true love is.

It's been a while. I rarely ever use Xanga anymore, but I'm on Myspace almost every day. My life has definitely changed since the last time I updated this. My husband and I will be married 2 years this summer. The time has flown by! We welcomed a little one this past December. Here are some pics:

He's a cool kid, huh?! LOL If you care to catch up, or want to see more pics of the munchkin, check out my Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/cbnurse04.

It's been a while... as usual. I got seriously ill and was in the hospital due to either a hormonal imbalance or a probable miscarriage. I have never been in the hospital before, or ever been really sick, and suddenly being the patient instead of the nurse was really an eye opening experience. After 8 sticks to get an IV started, I received two blood transfusions, which are very painful, lots of fluids, hormones, Lortab, which I had never had before, and... Lasix.  Anyone who has ever been given Lasix before knows exactly why I have that face there! Anyway, I have fully recovered, and I'm back to my old self again.

By the grace of God, I passed my psychiatric clinical. It was by far the most challenging nursing class I have had yet. It wasn't that the material was difficult, it was more like I was just not interested in it at all. We have clinical conferences after every clinical day, and on the last psych day, the instructor asked everyone to share one significant thing they had learned during the semester. My answer was that I learned that I absolutely do not ever want to be a psychiatric nurse. She thought my answer was funny... I was actually very serious. I'm in my second Medical / Surgical clinical now, and so far, I'm enjoying it. There are 10 students in this rotation, so it takes forever to get anything accomplished due to only having one instructor. It beats psych any day though!

I just figured I'd update since it's been forever. I'm still alive and kickin'... and there's just 10 days left of classes in this semester! Yay... 3 level, here I come.

I'm a married woman! I am officially Mrs. Moore! Our wedding was everything we wanted, the honeymoon was awesome, and so far, married life is great! I have a bunch of pictures that I will upload hopefully soon. We just got internet hooked up in our new home, so it might take a while. Thanks for the well wishes and emails I received from my internet buds!

We adopted a dog on the way home from our honeymoon. She's a Jack Russell and her name is Abbi Gayle. She is a wonderful dog, and a wonderful addition to our new family.

I have today and tomorrow off, then it's back to work, and I start fall semester of nursing school on Monday. I just keep thinking that after this semester, I only have two more left! Praise the Lord!

I'll update again soon... my parents will be here in a minute to see our new house.
